hi all ok we're to start ummm on the motorway coming home a few weeks ago engine light came on code p0170 put a post up on here had some fab advise did live data recommend to Change mass flow air sensor by a member done that and changed air pipes to be on the safe side cleaned throttle body so looked like new put all back together took for a spin and now the car/spanner light is on and now getting code p1555 and the car is saying it's running rich/lean on live data test this has been...

Astra Diesel fuel injection cutting out

My mechanic says it seems to be the cam and crank sensors not synching (I think I got that detail correct), now waiting for replacements. No error codes from ECU. he says there is no actual fuel pump in this model and fuel filter has now been replaced.
If that doesn't work, any suggestions?
Fuses?

Pesky door open light!

Afternoon all!
As the new boy please be gentle with me. :)
Got a 57 reg Vivaro & the damned door open light on the dash does not work. Bit of a nuiciance really!
All the switches seem to work as the interior lights come on but nothing to show if the back doors are open when you drive off.
Now, i am just assuming that there should be a light.....if not i can soon Jury rig something up!
Any ideas, comments, suggestions?

(SOLVED) Airbag warning light :(

So today i changed the steering wheel in my 1.6 Zafira Club, disconnected the battery before i started removing anything, got it all put back together and found that despite my best efforts i have an airbag warning light, does this definitely mean i have an airbag fault or is it something else gone wrong somewhere, if it's just the light and no actual problem how do i make the light go off? how would i tell if there is a genuine fault?

Corsa on a 57 plate, sputtered home and would not start again. A dodgy mechanic replaced the ECU and replaced battery, still nothing. The engine doesn't crank, all electrics seem to be fine including central locking. I purchased opcom and I have detailed the fault codes below. Could someone please assist me in correcting these codes, perhaps a step by step of what I have to do to get the car running again.

As the title says
i've had a slight issue lately with my car. been going in and out of limp mode, fine for a couple weeks then back again, I've already replaced swirl bar, as last one was broken, Cleaned EGR, Checked all connections and sensors. Checked HP pumps working which it is. I've had the car plugged in a few times, and it keeps reporting Low fuel pressure. I've had the rear pump out. looked at it. cleaned it. put it back in. lasted a couple days and the problem returned. Does it...

Hello, recently been dealing with issues one by the other with this car of mine i currently have a
vauxhall vectra 1.9 SRI 2008 Automatic with the AF40 transmission, when i purchased the car, the seller provided a 5L bottle of gearbox oil, "guessing it's never been changed." Hello all,

Just had the spanner through the roof light come on and the car went into limp mode.

I tried the pedal trick but didn't get any flashing lights, only a message ECN 112562. A bit of Googling shows this on other forums and related to throttle position sensor and/or the throttle body.

Before I have to go to a garage tomorrow, any experience or advice on this one please?

Missed it the first time, but I'm also getting ECN 242f75 which seems to relate to the DPF regen cycle . In...

Hi guys and girls i thought i would bring my next new project here, as there is a lot of knowlage here, so it would be great to share my build with you,
I have many ideas in my head but most wont happen but here goes on my plans

I do the odd track day and having done a few now and seen many cars not drive home, i think I am pushing my luck with the drive to and home approach.

I had my aircon regassed Now I have ECN 059761? Had a thermostat done around 3 months ago, (ebay £17 don't hit me) lol No codes was there before regas Now theres that :/
changed one sensor on thermo at the back ( clip in) Still there
what do I do ?:( Car feels sluggish now with aircon on
havnt had it long feel like a newborn with it

Hi, I have a Zafira A and I had some issues with my key fob opening the door via the remote. Everyday I have to reprogram the remote inserting in the car and turning on the ignition and pressing a key, it will work for an hour or two and then I had to reprogram it again. So, I switched to another key fob(I have 2 key fob with remote and another one without remote) and it seems that works, then started with the same issue after around 1 month.

Obviously, I replaced the CR2032 battery in...

hi everyone, i have been around this forum for a little while as a guest but im having problems finding out what is wrong with a van i just got off my dad. any advice is welcome. i have tried searching but an a bit hopeless with it.

I have been offered some H7, H1 and H4 LED headlight conversion kits for a good price. They look to be very good quality and have the cooling fans built into the bulbs, unlike some of the cheaper kits available.

1.9CDTi 8v Shuddering at 1500RPM

Hi all!
Astra 1.9CDTi 8v, 80,000 miles, 6 speed box. Noticing a slight shudder from engine when in 6th gear and travelling at 1500RPM (56MPH). If I lift the foot slightly, shudder goes away, likewise if I give it more throttle.

Any ideas?

Ok, so when i bought my Zafira it had what i think could be the original wiper arm but the little plastic tabs that held the blade in place were snapping away with age, so i bought a new one off ebay and it snapped where the spring sits in the joint, got a new one again, different seller and different manufacturer and same thing has happened again when i went through the car wash tonight so stuck without one for the time being, does anyone know of a specifically good manufacturer or any way...
