So just last two days my rev counter has started beeping and bouncing up and down while car is idling, My abs light keeps coming on and I have a strong fuel smell when driving. Not sure if the three are related, but could use some advise. Its a 10plate mk5 1.4

Windscreen help
Hi all I hope this is the correct section. I'm after some help as some no good b*****ds tried nicking cars in my street in the early hours of this morning. When they couldn't get in to mine they throw a brick/rocker at my windscreen leaving a scuff Mark in it. Its in threads drivers view so possibly a Mot failer. I don't know what can be used to try and Polish it out as I can't afford to replace the screen with it being so close to Christmas. To say I'm pissed is a understatement.

Hello all , My Astra g convertible 1.8 16v has a temperature gauge that has very rarely come off the stop . I decided to investigate the problem , so the first thing I did was to disconnect the plug to the sender and short the contacts out . Meriva 2004 Steering Rattle
Hi All,
My mums 04 Meriva A has recently started to rattle whilst driving and though this doesn't appear to affect the steering it is felt through the steering wheel and sounds like something is loose just under the drivers side dash. Also at approx. 60-70mph a definite vibration in the steering can be felt.

Sat nav fitting
Hello all
I currently am looking for an insignia to purchase. I want one with sat nav but the only decent ones with relatively low miles don't have them. My question is if i buy say a dvd 800 with control knob is the wiring there already or would i have to put wiring in? Also would it need programming to the ecu via tech2?

Help vivero leaking water
Hi i have a 2003 vivaro and ive just pulled up at home and there was a loud popping sound and then it started to bellowing steam out of the engine and the droped all of the water out of the side of the engine,it looks like its coming from the drivers side of the engine im not sure what bit its callec but looks like it has it has a belt attached or close to it,sorry if thats vague but i know nothing about engines

i've had a slight issue lately with my car. been going in and out of limp mode, fine for a couple weeks then back again, I've already replaced swirl bar, as last one was broken, Cleaned EGR, Checked all connections and sensors. Checked HP pumps working which it is. I've had the car plugged in a few times, and it keeps reporting Low fuel pressure. I've had the rear pump out. looked at it. cleaned it. put it back in. lasted a couple days and the problem returned. Does it...

Around a month ago the car went into what I assume was limp mode ( lack of power coupled with yellow car/spanner light. Having read up on't net about regens , took the car for a decent thrashing and the light went off and power returned to normal. Same thing happened again this week but also noticed that whenever I accelerate even mildly , there is a turbo like whistling which accompanies the throttling.
