The missing Fuse

Vectra 06 Elite model 150bhp

My front fog lights won't turn on at all no errors come up and I have checked with Vauxhall with VIN if my car was built with them as its Elite model and they looked on the system and yes they was but they dont know which fuse it is.

So Vauxhall themselves don't know where the fuse is they said fogs can be turned off by opcom and they will charge £60 to turn them on (Extortion).

So it could be fuse so does anyone have any ideas what problem could be and anyone...

Corsa - Strange squeak noise

Hi all,

I found the forum after searching for an issue I've noticed on my 63 plate Corsa SXI 1.4. I would be interested to see if anyone has experienced a similar problem?

When I turn off my engine after a run, there is a slight squeaking noise just after the engine stops. This noise lasts around 1-2 seconds. The only way I can describe it is like a squeaky belt or something coming to a stop.

Generally, the longer the run, the more noticeable the sound is.

Stalk problem

Hi guys, I'm new to the forum, just wanted to ask if any of you have this problem?
I replaced the indicator stalk on my astra mk4 and ever since it wont self cancel!
Got stalk off Ebay new. Just wondered if theres anything I've not done or have a erm...faulty stalk lol

Blue smoke on combo start up

Hi guys have a couple issues with my 1.3 cdti combo 2007 (57) reg.

First of all on start up mainly the first start of the day it blows blue smoke out the exhaust it's a big puff for about 2 seconds. Also the engine shakes when this happens makes the whole van shake! If I drive off it's fine. Don't think the shaking is timing chain as it doesn't rattle.

However I do have a knocking noise, I thought it was a tapet issue causing this but if I listen closely sounds like it's coming from around...

1,7 CDTi A17DTS / P2080

Hi there!

I have a recent error code P2080 but in the service no one sure if the EGT sensor is the problem or the injectors? No other symptoms just some black shoot apperaed at the end of the exhaust pipe.

People want's to dissassemble and remove all 4 injectors and check them physical.

Does anyone knows a better way the identify what the real problem is?

If I want to check the EGT sensors, where can I find them?

Injection fault

Hi

New to this site, hope there is a genius out there who can help.

I have a 2013 vivaro van.

Saying injection fault.
After having a local garage looking at it for the past few weeks. They are still none the wiser.
It has no power from acceleration.
They have replaced turbo, checked most sensors and injectors. Still no joy. Still in limp mode.
Anyone got any ideas ?

Swirl flaps not moving

I found the swirl flap bar had fallen off while I was changing the egr valve on Sunday, I've temporarily bodged it with some lockwire for now but it doesn't move at all when the engine is revved. The eml is on and I have no power.
Do the swirl flap motors fail? And can I reach it and the no3 flap without to much trouble?

Hi Everyone,
New to the forum. I'm no mechanic but tend to have a go at anything and has messed with my own cars for years, general servicing and maintenance and such.

This will be a bit of a long post as the issue has been dragging it's backside along but I would appreciate your time and input.

Hi I have a 2010 zafira, after the better part of 20 hours across the course of a week as and when time permitted i have finally completed my gearbox replacement, everything is great with the new gearbox and clutch kit only issue I have is the steering seems a touch stiffer than it was.

I was wondering if that's normal after so much has been disturbed as with the whole subframe out and what not, all nuts and bolts have been torqued to the Haynes recommendations. Or could something have...

Hello everyone.

A newbie here and im hoping someone with the right expertese can help me out.

My wifes corsa c with easytronic gearbox fired up the dreaded F fault and after checking with opcom and doing some research i came to the conclusion that the apparently very common clutch actuator was to blame. My guess work so far has proved correct as there was very little brush left and one had completely no contact with the motor.

Hi all

I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. My 2010 insignia 1.8 decide to flag a fault. First the temp guage shot to maw (140) which made me stop on the hard shoulder like a mad man. After checking I realised that the engine did not overheat. Just after that I got a code 4 error on the display. Also I plugged in a elm scanner which gave me some code which I never noted down apart from the last one P0117. The cooling fan runs constantly and Aircon doesn't switch on which...

Gearbox Failure

Hi All
I am new here and hoping you might be able to offer some advice.

I am trying to fix my parents Agila where the clutch has failed.
It’s a 2008 - 1.2 manual with 79k miles
I’m not a mechanic but have managed to get the gearbox out (with lots of swearing along the way)
Clutch plate worn down to nothing. Pilot bearing very poor. Release bearing poor.
My biggest issue is that one of the forks has broken off at the weld to the pivot shaft.
It seems to be a captive shaft so I have no...

Wow this car that I am helping a friend with just keeps on giving. I haven't had a Vauxhall in a long time. But I am sure this isn't right.

In the car if I turn the fan to manual and any speed it does nothing, even on the coldest setting, then the fan will come on for like 10 seconds then go off for a few minutes. I thought the whole idea of manual was so you could set it as you want?

I know her car has climate control however when that is pushed the light on the button doesn't come on....

Insignia Stop Start rarely working

I’ve had my 2017 2.0 diesel Insignia (08 - 17) for over a week and the stop/start has only worked a couple of times. Eco switch is on, very low mileage, recent main service and plenty of long journeys/up to temp. while I’ve had it.
It has also worked the few times I've stalled it , but as a rule doesn’t kick in. I don’t really mind as it doesn’t idle much in my country area, but wondered why it’s not working..?

Hi all.
I've read a few posts on here with people struggling with starting their Van's and I had the same problem.
Sometimes it would start and sometimes not i struggled getting it started in the mornings but once it started it was ok however if I parked and left it for a few hours when I went back I struggled to get it to start again.
I noticed that if I held the clutch in even though it was in neutral it seemed to want to start and cranked a little faster.
So i decided to flush the engine...

Hello, I run an '04 plate 1.8 Astra G Bertone as my work car/runaround. Pretty sure its a common thing, but the cable that releases the seat and allows it to move forward/flip forward so that the rear passenger can get in has snapped on the drivers side. I've bought the replacement cable and attempted to change the cable BUT I cannot get the cover off to to replace the cable. There appears to be clips around the trim around the cable pull handle on the side of the seat and I'm guessing that...

Hi every one, broke down today. Car lost power an cut out. Pulled up an tried to start the car again. It started but sounded an felt rough... engine seem to be moving about a lot. .. 1.9cdti 16v 150. Give it a rev an it seem to clear but still seems a little ruff an engine smells like it's getting hot... any ideas what it could be....?
