Astra diesel cutting out?
Astra diesel Mk.5 1.7 2007. Engine runs well but sometimes after 5-10 miles engine just cuts out. No warning lights. Leave for a few minutes, she starts, and away we go for a while. Any ideas??

Whistle low revs
Car, when is cold, has a whistling sound on low revs, turbo starts at 2000 but don't whistle when the turbo kicks in.
When engine warm whistle goes

Zafira B 1.6 Z16XE1 Blocked EGR Channels? ECN 017152
Hi all,
I mentioned in a thread a while back about a mystery jerking that my petrol Zafira does when driving. Usually, when cruising along at about 30-40mph, and also when sauntering along in slow traffic in 1st.
Driving home yesterday, the EML flicked on and doing a quick pedal test, it gave me code 017152. Looking on the forum it seems this is caused by clogged up EGR channels in the intake manifold.
Strangely, the car seems to be driving better since. No jerking/hesitation. That could...

Cavalier 2000 gl
Good morning guys.
I've joined the site to help out a neighbour.
He has a mk1 cavalier 2000 gl and has been the only owner of the car since new.
The car has the full Charlton package on it.
The issue is he does not get out so much in it due to health and his daughter had no interest in an older car.
We had been chatting about it as my father used to rebuild older cars and he asked what they are worth.
Being more of a bike guy I have absolutely zero knowledge of older car prices. He did have...

Charge initiation
I bought my 2014 Ampera in March last year. Ever since the first time that I tried to charge it, it has taken a random number of attempts from 1 upwards to start charging. Once current flow is established, charging completes reliably.
I am using the Voltec charger and cable that fits in a well in the boot. It makes no difference whether I select the 6A or 10A charge rate. I want to use the delayed charging feature to allow off-peak charging, but this problem is preventing me from doing...

vacuum, sensor, turbocharger
Hi to all you helpful people,
Can anyone point me in the right direction for this question,
Part number : 55558101, vacuum pump, sensor, turbocharger, where does it live on my zafira "B" 1.9 cdti 120 bhp, need to know so I can check the condition of the vacuum pipes and to see if the vacuum pump is still working and to clean the pump filter.
also can anybody tell me the size inside and outer size of the rubber fuel feed pipe to the high pressure pump.

Morning all
Can anyone please tell me which spec oil i should put in my little corsa?
It's a 2008 1.2 petrol reg is SD08 KWY if that helps? Unfortunately i got no handbook with it![:(]( "Frown :(")
Also i believe there is a choice of 2 oil filters ?

Astra h 2005, 1.7 FE6 keeps blowing
Hi ppls just after bit of advice on my car,
I've had a spanner light pop up yesterday,
Popped opcom on the car,
2 things popped up,
P1481-04 and p1482-04 traced it bk to FE6 fuse blown so replaced it and that one blew,
Came to check tis2000, thought it may be related to ac,
But FE6 is for engine cooling,,,
And FE5 is for air con,
I had my air con gas filled yesterday never used it before, (hence why I thought it was related)
Theres a fan that kicks in a loot sooner than it ever has before...

VauxCom Engine tests values
Hi guys,
I've recently got the dreaded P0234-11 error and a SVS on the dashboard every now and then and I am trying to find the cause of it.
So far I've cleaned MAP/BCV/EGR valves, no luck yet.
I've bought a Vaux Com and I will try to find the cause of the issue that way.
I need your help though - when performing live data monitoring - I cannot really understand the values like vane position % etc. etc. and I wanted to ask - do you have or where can I find values of various engine things...

Injection fault
Hi
New to this site, hope there is a genius out there who can help.
I have a 2013 vivaro van.
Saying injection fault.
After having a local garage looking at it for the past few weeks. They are still none the wiser.
It has no power from acceleration.
They have replaced turbo, checked most sensors and injectors. Still no joy. Still in limp mode.
Anyone got any ideas ?

I have a set of 4 16" vauxhall alloys
All 4 have bad corrosion but normal for these wheels apprently?????
2 okish tyres 2 need changing (nails)

Gearbox Failure
Hi All
I am new here and hoping you might be able to offer some advice.
I am trying to fix my parents Agila where the clutch has failed.
It’s a 2008 - 1.2 manual with 79k miles
I’m not a mechanic but have managed to get the gearbox out (with lots of swearing along the way)
Clutch plate worn down to nothing. Pilot bearing very poor. Release bearing poor.
My biggest issue is that one of the forks has broken off at the weld to the pivot shaft.
It seems to be a captive shaft so I have no...

Hi all, I am Edward and have an Astra Twintop Design 2009 and the roof has just decided it does not want to play anymore!!!! Everything is fine until it gets to the point were the boot lid should open but all I can hear is 2 clicks and nothing happens after that. Admittedly had some issues previously but they seemed to iron themselves out and one of them was when the temperature was coldish as above occurred. However, when the temperature rose mid-day, hey presto the roof wanted to play??...
