Hi guys don't know if this has been covered got aftermarket fog lights but they kept flickering cause off canbus system so put originall fogs back on got theese wired up to sidelights still flicker any way stop this happing driving me nuts tried them resistors still flicker

Hello everyone, was just wondering if anyone had replaced a cam position sensor. I've had no luck finding where it bolts. It's a 2007 zafira 1.6. Any help would be appreciated! This car is a nightmare, never had such problems with a simple fault before!

AVG mpg display

Hi guys, recent bought an astra j ecoflex 2011 n it doesn't show average mpg but I realise on the small display thing it's got the writing there of a lot of things but doesn't display much just the miles and was wondering if someone can point me into the right direction of activating it please

Hi i hope someone can help me out with this one.

Last year i got asked to pick up a friend it was on one of them a frame towing dollys, I towed the car no problem but i had an issue reversing it into a tight spot, the wheels didnt lock on and I couldnt see, after a burning clutch smell I just backed off and un hitched, the car would no longer go into any gears whilst the engine was running, and when the engine was off it did go into gear but it didnt feel the same as before, getting it into...

Vauxhall Vectra, lots of water in passenger footwell

I have a Vauxhall Vectra Sxi 16V 2003. I picked my car up from the garage a few days ago after having an ABS issue fixed, since then I have not driven it.

I go out to the car this morning and there was about an inch or two of water in the passenger footwell area, there is no water around the door or window. Like a lot of people we have had so much rain in the last 24 hours or so.....

Any ideas what might be causing it? It was like a swimming pool!

New to the forum. I'm no mechanic but tend to have a go at anything and has messed with my own cars for years, general servicing and maintenance and such.

First ever clutch job

Morning All
After my first ever clutch, pressure plate and thrust bearing replacement I'm lookin for a possible difference that I should feel on the clutch pedal.
It feels looser than before but all works fine after a little test drive.
Should it feel like that or it really depends on the car. The biting point is lower and I can really feel the difference just worried that I haven't bled it properly. Not sure haw a new clutch feels. Probably just being paranoid.

How to open faulty Tailgate?

Ok, so after some research I have been able to almost conclusively determine we have a fault in the wiring loom for the tailgate.

For background, we have had a problem with the tailgate not opening for about 18 months, we just came to accept it as a fault we will fix eventually. However, during a recent service they pointed out the central locking wasn't activating on the tailgate mechanism which ruled out a microswitch issue. Further to this today we got a "Fault 15" on the dash which...

Tigra TwinTop rear axle damaged

Hi all.
My daughter managed to slide the rear of her Tigra into a kerb and has bent the whole rear wheel assembly inwards giving a noticeable positive camber. On inspection, I can see the stub axle mounting plate on the beam axle has been deformed inwards slightly. Anyone know if it's possible to re-shape or repair this or is it a case of a new beam axle?
Also, if a new (used) axle is required, can anyone confirm which model of Corsa might fit? Tigra ones seem far less common. Many thanks,...

Loss of power at high revs

Hello hope someone can help.I have a Zafira b 1.6 petrol 09 reg. My problem is loss of acceleration at 70mph the car bogs down and hesitates but when you lift off the throttle slightly it picks up. I have no emls showing but the spanner light is on. Any suggestions for a possible cause and fix greatly appreciated. Thank you

I’ve bought an Astra J on a 2010 plate.
I’m getting a slight leak on the A pillar on the passenger side.
I’ve had the windscreen replaced by Autoglass.
I have the guy coming back Friday to re check the window.
Has anyone had this issue and if so can you please help.
