Limp mode

I have an 05 plate zafira and it now goes into limp mode when warms up, I have changed coil pack o2 sensor pre cat serviced it . It runs fine till warm then spanner light comes on .throttle body been cleaned all airways clear , no egr fitted to this model ant help ?

Engine Temperature Gauge

Hi, I've recently bought a 1.6 Petrol Astra J Sports Tourer. I have noticed that the Engine Temperature Gauge never goes above 90 degrees. I know that the Petrol Engines run at 105 degrees so it should be showing that on the Temerature Gauge I would have thought. Even when its been a warm day and Ive been sat in traffic a while and the fan kicks in it still stays at 90 degrees.

Anyone else got a Petrol Astra J and if so what does your Temperature Gauge read when its fully warmed up?

Upate on Corsa D 1.0L non-Start

Its been a few weeks since I have been on the forum with my issue of our Corsa D 1.0L not starting after battery going flat, we tried to jump start with leads but turns out that is not the correct way to go about it. I have since got my updated Op-Com from KoiCarkeeper (many thanks for all the help-Sound lad.)
I have connected up to the car yesterday and have now attached the list of faults taken down along with Live data when I crank the engine over. Still no start. Any help would be great....

Short story end of the year I will be on the road for 2 years and have had my little 1.6 3dr astra the same time but the insurance is higher than an insignia and wanting something bigger, have drove it for 30k miles but now also drive a van during the week as im in the trade so just a weekend car now ahah but either way feel like I want something bigger with 5 doors as 3 doors is cool but can be really annoying so wanting to get something 5 doors but not spending crazy amount ahha so was...

My front flexi is leaking exhaust gases which I can feel with my hand. It was leaking last year a tiny bit and went through the MoT but it is more obvious this year so needs sorting.
A new front pipe is £160 because it includes the first silencer (which may actually be a secondary catalyst, not sure).
I see weld on and clamp on flexi repair kits but I was wondering if there is anything I can seal the leak with just to get another year out of it? The leak is right at the front, bottom of the...

Hi guys, brought a vivaro a month back, done 3.5k motorway miles. Engine Now on 120k. It had an oil change at garage in front of me before I drove away. I didn't think to check it for a couple of weeks stupidly. So used to my old van burning a litre every few months. But oil low came on at home one morning. It took a litre to bring it up to max but I've been topping it up each trip. I've now put in 2 litres in 3500 miles and I'm a little above minimum so about to top up again. What would...

Could anyone give me some bits of advice on this car please as I just won a 1.2 SXI on ebay with 90k miles that im going to give my son as his first car.
The car is listed as spares or repairs like most do these days to cover themselves but its only listed as having a faulty mech on seats ( 3 door ) and losing water with an occasional damp drivers side footwell.
If the listed faults are simple fixes and nothing bad like a head gasket then I will give it a major service and hope it lasts him...

Hi everyone - Frequent browser but infrequent poster here looking for some advice.

Had our Astra 1.6 Petrol fail its MOT yesterday on two emissions related items, namely the below:

1. 'Exhaust Carbon Monoxide content after 2nd fast idle exceeds manufacturers specified limits [8.2.1.2 (a)]'
2. 'Exhaust Hydrocarbon content after 2nd fast idle exceeds manufacturers specified limits [8.2.1.2 (a)]'

Insignia coolant leak

2009 163bhp CDTI
I seem to have an occasional slow coolant leak. I can see no visible coolant loss when car is left standing. The only thing that may have happened is the PRV in expansion tank cap may have blown as bulkhead fabric behind PRV realease hole does seem damp.
Any know issues that lead to coolant loss
that I may be missing

First ever clutch job

Morning All
After my first ever clutch, pressure plate and thrust bearing replacement I'm lookin for a possible difference that I should feel on the clutch pedal.
It feels looser than before but all works fine after a little test drive.
Should it feel like that or it really depends on the car. The biting point is lower and I can really feel the difference just worried that I haven't bled it properly. Not sure haw a new clutch feels. Probably just being paranoid.

Oil pump chain

Hi new here and looking for some help.

So we purchased a 1.6 CDTI Sri insignia estate on the 31st May and on June 5th we had a fault on the dash saying low oil pressure stop engine.

Long story short, the car is in the air at the garage and they have told me that the oil pump chain has snapped and that luckily there seems to be no other damage. I've contacted other garages for a quote but most seem confused that the oil pump has a chain.

Has anyone else had this problem and have an idea...

Hi all,
My insignia was recently in need of a tow home due to multiple fault codes that couldn’t be solved at the side of the road.
I have hopefully solved 2 of what I think are 3 codes but I’m unsure if the last issue given to me by the AA is a fault or not.

Hi,

I have a 62 plate Vauxhall Astra i have changed the fuse in the front left hand side fuse box but it still is not working. any one have any ideas please the fuse was #6 in the box with 20 amp.

So I have a 08 1.6 that the emission light has intermittently started staying on.Back in May I done a service
and changed the plugs and EGR as I was having running problems.It was ok for about 50-60 miles and the problem I was having has not reoccurred but the emission light came on and stayed for a few days then went out again.Done the peddle test and fault codes are 17152,35100,35200,35300,35400,40063, so lean mixture,coil pack and EGR also there is a small vent/hole in the cam cover on...
