Hi guys I'm new here.

I've just taken the cd30 stereo out of my 55 plate zafira. To replace it with a xtrons unit. Wired it all up and nothing happened so I checked all the wiring and still nothing so I put my old head unit in for now and also got no power to that.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please

Hi Guys,
I am thinking of buying a cordless impact gun and was wondering what would be the minimum nm torque i should be looking for to use for general work on my car and caravan?
I have a compressor and windy gun so i don.t need a professional type gun just one that will be suitable for wheel bolts etc.

Thanks Alan.

I had a leak now fixed and a new ex cap but still have some mayo on the cap but so far nothing on the dip stick.

Oil lever is a bit high and dirty bit can't see water/mayo on it and wondered if it was ok to use local and keep an eye on water level at least as it's the daily or stay off it.

Hi guys, ive recently bought a 2006 vivaro 1.9 cdti
I've had the van about a week and it hasn't been on the road yet as ive been sorting some bits on it, brake pads etc.
The van has been driven home and started and ran throughout the time ive had it annd always started fine and central locking worked perfectly.
I ran the van today, when i turned the key on the immobiliser light flashed irratically, which its never done before, the van still started fine. I reversed and parked the van and...

While working on my zafira i needed to lower the bonnet stay while working round the throttle body so i made a temporary stay out of a straight forked stick. The forked end sat over the front engine mount and the other end to a recess in the bonnet it gave better access where i was working and cost nowt so a win win just thought i'd pass it on.

Hi all,

Just a general question on updating the nav in my 09 Insignia. I understand the latest release for these was 14/15 maps ans wondered if it was OK to buy a second hand DVD from the internet or whether the DVDs were specific to the vehicles they came with?
If they are general, I wondered if I could borrow someone's CD and obvs I'd cover postage both ways...
Cheers!

2004 Corsa C won't start

Ever since I changed the engine on this car it won't start. I've recently bought OP COM and the only thing untoward that I've noticed is that the fuel pump relay is inactive. I can activate it with OP COM. I believe that the fuel pump relay is one of the purple ones. I bought a relay tester on Amazon and the purple ones seem to be fine. The car cranks over as normal but seems to be on the verge of starting. Can anybody point me in the right direction?

The car is a 1.2 petrol (Z12XE).

Does anyone have a list of all the bearings needed for the f40 box. Mine is whining and needing replaced.
If i can get the bearings in advance of commencing the job then it shouldn’t take as long

I would like to up the music power just a bit in my 2013 vivaro. I have the head with satnav etc so don’t want to replace that. Is it just a case of putting a little amp in or more involved.?
Thanks for looking.

Corsa D Speedo Accuracy

Hey guys, I've always questioned this but I own a 2008 CORSA D 1.3 cdti and I was wondering do the Corsa D models speedos over read? I've heard that the GPS is supposed to be accurate and the speedo normally overreads by 10% in some cars. Also if there are any Corsa D owners here, does your speedos do the same?

For example my Speedo in my car would read 30, but my sat nav on my phone reads 27. I've tested with other applications aswell and it reads the same.

2.0CDTI which oil?

Hi, new to the forum and Vivaro ownership.

Just doing a full service and can’t find the correct oil type anywhere in the owners manual, it’s the M9R 780 engine not sure if it has a DPF either? 2008 model. From the service history it looks like 5w30 but doesn’t say synthetic or not or if it needs to be for a DPF fitted vehicle.

Thanks in advance!

Omega 2.2 ABS

Hi Folks, the dreaded ABS dashboard light came on yesterday. Today I found the front offside sensor had a very high resistance so I removed it. This took 4 hours as was rusted in and meant smashing it to get it all out in bits. I then found a replacement almost unobtainable apart from one site asking £150 for one. I have ordered a used Cavalier one which looks similar but on a shorter lead for £12.50 which I am hoping I will be able to splice a longer lead on. The question is in case...
