Hello to all....im after a bit of help & info re a possible purchase. Battery drain (0.3a) Astra 2.2

can anyone help with Astra coupe 2.2 g 2001 with aircon.

I'm trying to trace a fault, or a short, it's eating my battery up in a couple of days.

Things I've done.

Put new battery on, sits at 12.8v when fully charged.

Started car, checked voltage goes up as much as 14.6v, alternator is good.

I've run a meter in series to the battery (so disconnected through meter only on negative pole) and its drawing 0.3a with the door closed and ignition off, key out.

I started pulling fuses and got...

How to remove middle seat row Zafira A

Hi All

I am about to swap out my old seats for new ones. The old ones have lasted 800.000 km - so - it is about time I got some new ones :)

The problem is the middle one - the one that slides on rails. How do I remove it? Taking out the rails is one option - but - isn't there a smarter way to go about it?

All tips and advice are more than welcome :)

Over revs

Hi all. New issue with my van Vivaro 52 plate 1.9
Glow plugs light on with a light just above. It runs ok but over revving.
When I put pedal down light goes out when I release light comes back on. When I change gear it over revs. And light come back on until I accelerate. It drives ok though. But using a bit more fuel.
Any ideas please. Here's a list what I have replaced since buying it.

Glow plugs
Crankshaft sensor
Amf sensor
Fuel filter
Air filter
Clutch switch.
EGR Valve

That's about it...

Hi, I am new to this forum, so this is my first post. I need some help/advice about my Astravan (G).

It is a 2005, 05 Astravan (G) 1.7 cdti, it has covered 166,000 miles & is relatively well maintained.

Before Xmas, it cut out & refused to start. it turns over ok, but will NOT start at all.

Due to the weather & other commitments, It is still the same as i write this, however, i need to get it back on the road now A.S.A.P

The only thing that i have tried was, a little squirt of easy...

Hi all,i have recently purchased astra sportive 1.7 dti,2001,speedo was not working,the van starts runs and does everthing it should apart from speedo not working,i ve located the sensor on the gearbox and changed it,i ve done pedal test and the 0500 fault shows,i ve not checked instrument panel as not so sure it could be this,any ideas before I proceed?

Hi everyone

Thank you for having me and I will get right down to it.

Someone alittle while back had hit my drivers side door which caused me to hit a pillar on the passenger side door.
Long story short both the doors needed to be fixed. Rather than fixing it I manged to find 2 doors pretty cheap but the problem is my central locking went dead.

I found my car deadlocked with no way in as we tried to manually open it. Probably a different barrel due to the key going in but not turning.

Hi guys, I've got an Astra H 1.7 CDTI Z17DTH and it has suddenly developed fuel gauge problems.
I was a bit suspicious as it is showing I have used three quarters of a tank of fuel since Wednesday, so I used op-com and got a fault code (can't actually remember it now) but it was "fuel level sensor open circuit or high voltage".

Was going to swap out all my bulbs for HID but cant access Headlight bulb at drivers side It is blocked by the fuse box and water bottle I managed to slide the fuse box to the left but dosn't help I would need it out the road Anyone help me please It is a 2015 Meriva

This is my 2nd Astra where it's had problems. Cylinder 4 was knackered on the 1st Astra 16 8vs. Now my Astra 16 16vs I brought few days ago the service light was on. And on start up the service light went out & the EML is now on... The car does hesitate slightly at 1st. But once warm she's fine... until Sat in traffic or Sat with the engine running. central locking failed can't get petrol cap open

Hi there,

My central locking failed a week ago, the passenger door is frozen but I've just been locking the driver door manually. Last night the petrol light came on so I went to fill up, but the petrol cap can't be opened. Does anyone know how this can be opened manually ?

Android Auto issue on Corsa but not on Zafira

We have a 16 plate Corsa and a 17 plate Zafira. Both have the same head unit but the Corsa has a problem that the dealer can't seem to fix.

When you are driving the Corsa will randomly unmute the radio (it is really annoying after the 200th time) and when using Google Maps on Android Auto every single time a direction is read out the radio unmutes itself.

Neither of these problems exist on the Zafira and the dealer is adamant the latest software is on the Corsa. Any ideas why the Corsa...

Hi there everyone I recently bought a 1.6 Zafira (Z16XE Engine) I had the timing belt replaced as it sounded like a bearing was knackered can still hear something there still which is frustrating now the car has decided to keep stalling itself? The timing is ever so slightly out but I couldn't see this causing the issue I've had the Lambda sensor on CAT changed for a working used one as it was bringing EML light on I swapped the throttle body over to another working one but the car is still...

hello everyone, my 98 vectra b wouldnt start the other day i put it on the computer and it showed p1630 critical which points to the injector pump failure so i got another pump which was from a zafira but was coded the same as my old one which is 003 i installed it got it primed up and the fuel is squirting out from the output side but it will not start. i put the computer on again but no codes. strange thing is the airbag light has come on on the dash which never was lit before. the...
