Engine cooling fan not coming on

Hi folks,

Looking for some help again please, this time with my cooling fan which isn't turning on. Engine is a Z14XEP. Noticed it when I was stuck in traffic the other day on a rather hot day, overheating light came on. "oh great!"

I've checked all the fuses for continuity, all good. I tried jumping the fan switch located on the waterpump with a paperclip, but the fan stayed dead.

Just that....Halfords are £26 For just over a gal of concentrate but the local factor is 11. Like I say are there different grades.

No brake lights combo van

Hi there.
New here, so hello all.
Just bought a 2003 ex post office combo van 1.7DI.
Brake lights have stopped working.

*Replaced the bulbs.
*Side lights work.
*Replaced the brake peddle switch.

Still nothing.
Can somebody please if possible spare some light on other possible sources of this problem.

Can't Get Into 1st Gear

Hello,

I posted this issue - https://www.vauxhallownersnetwork.co.uk/index.php?threads/cant-get-into-gear.757241/#post-3674881 just over a year ago.

As mentioned, the Master and Slave cylinder were changed and it all worked fine up until yesterday. We were idling in a queue trying to leave a venue and all of a sudden we got a bad burning smell, bit of smoke/steam coming and again couldn't get the car into 1st gear, the clutch was also limp. After getting the car into 2nd gear it...

Does anyone have a list of all the bearings needed for the f40 box. Mine is whining and needing replaced.
If i can get the bearings in advance of commencing the job then it shouldn’t take as long

VIVARO GEARBOX

Think a bearing might be going on my vivaro's gearbox. Thought it was a wheel bearing but had a mate look at it and he said it's the gearbox bearing. He said it'll be ok for a while, it doesn't sound bad. What are my options? Can I change the bearing/s or is it a full gearbox change out? And how do i find out what type of gearbox is it? Any help appreciated.

Hi, I am the proud owner of a 2015 vivaro that I use for roofing but tend to treat it much better than a work van with the plans to put the rear seats and Windows in. I look forward to any advice and can hopefully offer some advice from my experience with the van

Hi all. I have been having issues with power, lag etc with my 2011 Insignia 2.0 CDTi 160. On every ignition cycle I have the P003A-00 - Turbocharger Boost Control Position Not Learned. As well as that I have a lapse after changing gear of no power for about 2 seconds and my 6th gear is basically redundant. I stripped down the turbo and cleaned it out completely, vanes are moving lovely, actuator arm works perfect but it just isn't running smooth and obviously I keep getting this fault. I...

Hi my 2012 meriva 1.7 cdti se has the gear change indicator but it only seems to come on when iam in 4th to change to 5th and 5th to 6th it dosn't illuminate 1st to 2nd 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th is this normal

Hello guys,
about a month ago, I posted here a thread about faulty EGR on the 1.7 CDTi engine. The EGR was not working, because the car was mapped with bad software (according to a professional repairing the ECU, the guys had no idea what they were doing). Now, the ECU has the original 74kW software, the EGR seems to work fine (according to the diagnostic interface at least), but the car just won't start.
There were some fault codes (don't remember exact code numbers now, but I will post...

Morning All,

I'm driving a 2003 Vectra Petrol 1800cc.

My aircon was playing up for a while, only blowing on setting number 4 so i did a bit of digging around and everything pointed towards the resistor needing changing. The air con/blowers stopped completely the other day (the day after i bought the resistor) so i went to change it yesterday afternoon to see if it would bring it all back to life.

After removing the glove box and a few other bits i couldn't find out where the resistor...

guys I need some help, I’m getting engine management light and multiple fault codes
P0300, p0301, p0302, p0303, p0304, p0314, p1300, and p1614 & p1616
I’ve had two new coil packs, new spark plugs and it still happens, have been told replace maf sensor, but there not cheap, is there anything else I could look at before, also I noticed a hum or were from behind the dash
Any advice welcomed, it’s starting to eat my cash

Well the Radio 1 Big Weekend was at Stewart Park, Middlesbrough, anybody on here have tickets, Miley Cyrus supposedly smashed it, she made a surprise visit on Friday and headlined on Saturday, she spoke in a interview saying she'd been sunbathing in Redcar beach.

Hi all, had the service vehicle soon message keep coming up in my vauxhall Astra j 2010 but only had a service a couple months ago,

I have a zafira 1700 Diesel I have had a reconditioned engine put in and now I keep on getting this error code 02995A driving around town its ok but when I go on motorway the spanner light comes on I stop switch off and it goes away can anyone help please
