2007 1.8vvt zafira engine power issues

I have a question relating to a zafira 1.8 vvt. It's a 2007 club model. The car its self drives well and can still feel quite fruitful when she plays ball. But lately now and again when warm. If I start the car it will run with massive reduced power. No eml light and restriction on the rev counter. Ie not in limp mode. I would say if the car felt like it had a certain size engine for its weight. I would say it feels like the 1.8 has been swapped for a 1.0. No miss firing, not fluctuating...

Hello everyone, new here and looking for advice or help. I will try my best to exsplain :)

So basically, my Astra 1.9 cdti 2008 150bhp engine z19dth when hot starts really rough, it idles fine but takes a bit to start, same as this video on youtube

i have changed DMF and clutch, glow plugs, starter motor and battery also crank sensor and thermostat. But now im running out of options, everyone is saying starter and battery but these are brand new.

Hi we have just had some look at my sister's car about timing chain coming off, apparently this has happened before but we were never at the garage to see it, we paid to have it put back on and the car was fine until 2 weeks ago, when the same thing happened so we thought, (we didn't have anything else replaced just the old chain replaced) a bloke just came and said the chain is connected as the cam is turning he can see it when we try and start it through the oil filler cap, but the engine...

Blocked Rear Windscreen Washer

Hi all,

So my rear windscreen washed on my Astra has recently stopped working. It still makes the noise as if it’s pumping through liquid but nothing comes out.

Has anyone ever encountered this issue and if so, how did you rectify it?

I have tried to put a pin through it but to no avail.

Hi

I’m new to this forum and couldn’t find a post relating to this subject so forgive me if there is one.

I’m hoping someone can help me with an issue I am having.

I currently have the following car:
Vauxhall Astra 1.6 i VVT 16v Tech Line GT 5dr (13 - 15).

I recently had to get my tyre valves replaced due to corrosion but have realised that the PSI system is not linked to the new valves and it is just showing the tyre pressure as zero for them all on the dashboard.

Back Seat back rest catch not working

Hi Guys, I have a Corsa C, I am about to sell, the Back seat Backrest release catch on the near side wont release the catch, so the back rest wont fold down, its been like it for sometime, I have secured it in the upright position for the MOT, I have taken the backrest right out, there are 3 torq bolts that when you take them out nothing really happens, it appears you have to strip the whole thing down which looks impossible, so I assume leave it as it is or get a second hand back...

No engine management dash lights on...serviced in december...mixture of local/motorway drives

coming through the gears to gain speed 1-4 no issues but put foot down in 5/6th to accelerate for an overtake or slip road join and engine revs as if the clutch pedal is pressed...any thoughts

Hi there i put a thread on here a while back, got a 2006 astra h 1.7cdti the thread was about the abs light/speedo,the speedo would work when it felt like it, had some sound advice on here saying that the speedo was on the passengers side and was built into the hub as well as the abs light got round to doing it put a new hub on speedo works fine but the abs light is still on, so i bought the new cable that runs from the back of the hub up to the main loom but i still have the abs light on....

Knocking sound

Hi guys i have Astra H z16xep, I noticed that the car has a knocking sound if engine is hot between 2000rpm-3000rmp.
Sometimes the noice is loud and sometimes softer, I thought it might be the shims. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

in need of some help with a astra h 1.7 Z17DTH 2006 van

i was getting a p0234 positive devation code showing and van was going into limp mode at 3k revs .

van had already got the egr deleted and i have changed the turbo boost solenoid and also MAP sensor .
the van then went out of limp mode on a test drive after changing the solenoid but when i got to 70mph it went back into limp mode .

so i tested again with opcom and the same code showed but not the problem only appears at 70mph .

Hi got a vectra 1.9 cdti 16 valve and went to start it and it sounded like engine was going to come out so tried again and it turned over and fired but sounded like diesel knock so switched it off , had a look and tooktiming covers off and belt looked ok put timing pin in hole and turned until it locked and put tool on crank sprocket and it lined up but there is no ark for cam sprocket mark to line up with , put code reader on and code came up with p0016 - 08 cam / crank correlation , if...

Swirl flap actuator testing? Y20DTH

Good evening

Looking for a way to diagnose a bad swirl flap actuator on a Y20DTH

Would I be right in thinking that this is a diaphragm type actuator like in the EGR and turbo valve?

So this is why I think it's knackered... I remove the vacuum line from its solenoid and I am able to actually blow/suck air through the actuator.

Does this mean the diaphragm has perished as I would guess that no air should be able to pass through the actuator?

If this is the case, please can someone help...

I will let the petrol experts come with explenation and let the pictures relate rather then words...

Just serviced the above engine, no dtc running issues or such but all 4 plugs... Like in the picture... 05 plate 84k on the clock.

All 4 plugs look the same... Like this one...

On a whole I like my car a lot, probably one of my fav cars I've owned so far (top 3).
I have the SRI spec. To me having owned Vauxhall's from the 80s on, SRI, stands for sporty trim.
This is the first SRI spec'd car that I've ever owned that has a hidden rear exhaust tailpipe. I'm not bothered about a noisy exhaust, but a visible sporty tailpipe would have been nice. Not one that is tucked away, out of sight. So what were the vaux designers thinking about there? Even my previous SXI had...
