Vectra side mirror housing broken in carwash

Both mirror housings were pulled out of their proper positions by a carwash. Never used one before, and now never again. Of course it's 'not their problem'. So does anyone know how I push them back up and back in? At the moment they're hanging at the maximum I could get them to go without going too far and possibly snapping it altogether. The electrics still work and the glass is fine, but the car's now unroadworthy as I can't see my mirrors. The car's a Vectra 2000. Great car, very very...

I will try and break this down as best I can -

The other day when I started the car I noticed a "humming" sound which I can only seem to make out whilst inside the car. I gave the car a rev and the humming increases with engine speed, it can also be heard when driving the car. Also noticed that my a/c pump is a hell of alot louder than usual and there is also the sound of "swooshing gas" which echos from the vents, to be fair I did always get a slight noise as the pump engages but then...

Astra J Clutch pedal heavy / slow releasing back up - help / advice

This morning on the way to work, My clutch pedal started playing up, it just suddenly really heavy / slow return after changing gear and has gradually becomming worse. I drove to a garage and was informed there was no signs off any leaving therefore it was possible it could be the master / slave cyclinder seals but I wouldn't know until they start to leak.

I drove back to work and already the clutch pedal is now becomming heavy on pressing down as well, as up now, it does still change gear...

Hi, does anyone know what a code p118b is?
The car is a zafira tourer 1.6cdti on a 15 plate and has done 25k miles.
The engine light is on, but I can reset it with my simple scanner. The light comes back on after a couple of days though.
Doesn't seem to affect the drivability in any noticeable way.

Hi guys and girls i thought i would bring my next new project here, as there is a lot of knowlage here, so it would be great to share my build with you,
I have many ideas in my head but most wont happen but here goes on my plans

I do the odd track day and having done a few now and seen many cars not drive home, i think I am pushing my luck with the drive to and home approach.
hence the van to tow the car to track and be able to spend a few nights away in it,
i also want to be able to pack...

Evening guys,
I've seen a few astra sport vans recently that have been modified, ie: lowered, alloys, new grilles etc. And they look proper tasty.

Is there anything available for the vivaro along these lines?
Grilles?
Headlight upgrades? Hids? Or black surrounds?
Brakes? They have discs all round, can you get bigger or better pads etc?

I just want it to stand out a bit from the growing masses that seem to be on the road.

Anyone have pics of their vivaros with a few mods?

Hi guys, I have a Zafira A 1.8 cat Elegance automatic and I want to set up cruise control.
I'm going to buy a new part with CC buttons on it, I saw that I have the CC wire behind the steering(see the images attached) and I don't need the clutch button because of automatic transmission.
I think that I just need to mount the new indicator stalk with CC buttons and set Cruise Control to Present via OP-COM, right?

Knocking from rear drivers side when hiring a pot hole

Astra h 2009 5 door. Slowly getting worse. Only on rear drivers side. I have already changed the axle bushing, suspension shock, exhaust mounts and checked wheel bearing and all seam fine . Any help would be ace. Cheers all

Air con leak

Hi. Astra h2009 5door. Had my air con charged the a couple of weeks later there was a piping noise from behind the dash and a hissing noisy (all the gas leaking) now no cool air. Light still on. Fuse ok and I can see the comprised spinning when turned on. Not really sure what I am doing when it comes to air con xxxxxx thanks

Hi everyone

Just bought a nice 2012 astra tourer estate 1.7cdti 78000 miles the car is fine apart from one problem which is the alarm goes off for no apparent reason this usually happens at night time I bought the car last Saturday tea time I got home about 8pm and after about an hour after the car was parked up outside my house the alarm went off and then again a bit later on its gone off a least once a night since ive had the car it went off thursday morning at 1.45 am everytime I go to...

hi hope this is ok to post here im new to the group ive bought my wife a 53 plate astra bertone 1.8 i cant get the remote locking to work via the key buttons ive replaced the battery and put a bit of card on the inside as the battery part as come away from the board it lights up but does nothing tried putting the key in the igntion to postion 2 and pressing unlock but no joy im not sure if this is why everytime she goes to unlock the car and opens the door the hazzards come on and stay on...

help needed please hazzards/rcl

As I'm rather enjoying the whole messing around on two wheels thing, thought i't treat myself to a pit bike. We've got a great pay and play MX track with a load of land for just roaming around on for just £12 a day locally and they also race these (when fitted with Supermoto wheels) at a few local kart tracks in the evenings... just need the different wheels for that.

Throttle pedal fault - almost solved but ECU pin numbers needed

Hi everyone

I've posted about this last year, but the problem (no engine response to throttle pedal) has now returned. I now have some light at the end of the tunnel but need a bit of help please

If you want the short reason for my post it's because I really need to know what pins on the ECU plugs are the throttle pedal ones (there are six). If you want some more detail, and if you're experiencing this problem read on....
