Hi, I have the ISNP2 warning light, its my drivers side side light (the little 5w bulb). Its not the wiring at the headlight and ive changed the socket. Next place to look is the fuse box or the ecu, but theyre expensive to replace just to fix one bulb. Is it possible to just take power from the passengers side light? or will this trip the canbus?

Grinding Noise Rear Left - Only On Start Up?
So yeah, as the title suggests; when I start up my Vectra Life 1.8 2007 there is a really loud grinding noise coming from the back left of the car. Only begins when I start moving off and then goes off within about 200 feet. Seems to come from rear wheel direction.
It is only if I have left car sitting for half hour or later.
Due for MOT in July. Hope it holds out.
Any suggestions?

Stereo forgetting
if I choose a radio station on my insignia like capital fm, and select the preset to save the stereo it beeps but comes up with a completely different station name I have to save it 3 times until it saves the correct name.. after a while all the saved stations change names completely . Does anyone know why it does this?

Electric Window closing issues - Astra H 2006 1.9
Hi,
I haven't posted on here for a while and have since lost my old account so forgive me if I have posted in the wrong area.
I have a 2006 Astra 1.9 SRI CdTi and I have been having this issue with the drivers side electric window over the past few months whereby when I try and close the window it gets to about half way, starts to come away from the window guide on the right hand side and the glass slants slightly to the left, gets stuck and then reopens. I have included a YouTube link...

Does anyone agree that it's time Laptop charged via USB?
I kow ALL Laptops charge at a different rate, just like the fact my in-car phone charger is different to my boy's but, wouldn't it just be so much easier if you could plug you laptop in and have it charge, the rate of charge many depend on model however, how many of use do no have a MAINS to USB charger?
It's just a thought I'm throwing out there, one set of leads would be so much easier to carry. I mean USB mains plugs to MINI USB sockets.
What do people thinK?

2004 1.9 vivaro door locks
A couple of days ago I went to unlock my van using key fob and the locks just made a noise as if they were working but didn't actually unlock the door. Used they key to get in and take to my local garage. The locks now are working randomly, sometimes locking and sometimes unlocking. Not all 5 locks (if you include the petrol flap) are synchronised. ie all locked together or unlocked together. My mechanic is pulling his hair out as he has taken the sliding door lock out and lubed it, thinking...

Abs,battery light on, speedo not working vectra b
Car had not been started for about nine months due to the wiring loom battery cable to the starter motor cable burnt out due to arcing because the nuts of the starter motor and alternator had come off and the cable was arcing of the starter motor.
the cable has now been replaced now that ABS light battery light and speedo is now not working

CIM failure so soon?
Hi All,
If you had something repaired at the dealers is there a set time that the part should expect to work for? This occasion is my CIM. managed to get it done under the recall which took a fight to do. Im guessing its been done 2 1/2 years now, but again this morning Horn doesnt work... This time with lights on or off.
Im guessing its my CIM.... Will plug in soon to check if any errors and to see if i can self test the horn. If its not the cim, what alternatives can it be?

Insignia starts then cuts out
Hi first of all thanks for the add
I have a insignia diesel cdti from cold it will start no problem after a run it will start then cut out after like 1 second .
It had a clutch and flywheel done but it has run fine for a couple of weeks after so I don't think that is connected
Any ideas would help

As title. What phone do you have? How long have you had it? Planning an upgrade soon? Do you like your phone?
I've got a Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Had it about 15 months and I'm not due an upgrade until the end of Decemeber. I quite like the phone, it's big, but it's not too bulky. I don't make that many calls, to be honest, so having an enormous phone next to my head isn't a problem - it's more of a mini-tablet that will make calls when I need it to.

vauxhall vectra 1.8 pertol wont start due to relays not engaging
hi my vauxhall vectra wont start at first thought it was my fuel pump coz no priming noise so i replaced it and put a new fuel filter but still no joy so after a lot of reseach i found my fuel pump relay and if i make the contact manually though the relay pump runs but its like the relays aint engaging and if i do it manually i still cant get the car to start what can cause relays not to engage any help would be appreciated

Astra coupe 1.8 ecotec
We have a Astra coupe 1.8 ecotec and the oil light has come on, it was just on when the car was idling and going off when accelerating, now its is flickering on and off all the time when driving, then its now just on when idling and off when driving, the spanner light has now come on but there is oil in the car.
Does anyone have an idea why this would be happening.

Changing swirl flap rod on Astra H 1.9 2006
Hi,
How easy is it to replace the swirl flap rod on Astra H 2006 1.9?
My swirl flap rod has come off and is just laying there at the moment.. I have been driving with it off for a while and seems fine. I do notice the car loses power sometimes and think it is probably linked to this.

As for English, what do you guys say, if anything, if you see someone eating. For example you enter a staff room at work, and your colleague is eating something. ECU REPLACEMENT HELP PLEASE
hi people my friends astra h 2005 z16xep ECU has packed up and i need a bit of advice to get him on the road again.If i buy a replacement ecu with transponder and key and fit the ecu and transponder to the car then swap the chip in the key over to mine will it work? or do a need a tech 2 to code it to the car still, thanks

1.9 CDTI Not running (long thread help)
Hi, car drove out to my destination fine, had a thing where the revs when the clutch is pressed and your rolling they would drop below idle sometimes but still fine, and anyway come back to car, start it up, loads of smoke, and it's Miss firing, running in 3 pots, and won't rev, when you do, it builds up hardly any at all and dies. Now it's struggling to start, and does the same again, won't barely rev and dies, and misfiring.
Changed fuel filter, fuel pump in tank has decent pressure....

Hi guys trying to fit a double din radio in to my 07 Astra the unit is powering up as it takes an ejects cds but the face ain't powering up, in 1 I got the usual speaker cables an in the other I got yellow black orange and red, is tgat correct?? Will try add a picture
