Corsa 3 Cylinder Engine Sound.

Hi Guys, Corsa Newbie has heard a lot about the Rough "Bag of Bolts" Diesel sound that is normal for the 3 cylinder engines. Is the Tapping Sound I hear from my engine normal or perhaps a fault developing? How do I tell?
