i mate of mine has a Zaf B 1.8, he says the gear box is making a knocking noise which is really noticeable at about 4000 rpm, however if he depresses the clutch (whilst in gear and driving) the noise goes.
A garage has said it's shot (visual inspection![:)]( "Smile :)")
), stating it'll cost about £1500 for a new box as this is a common fault
sounds more like a release bearing or something
Is there any issues with this box?
