2012 meriva 1.7 cdti big problem

hi
just fitted a new suction control valve to the car after it had a permanent limp mode fault..
car is no better
starts up no problem
has no power and wont go out of limp mode

checked the wiring and its fine

the P0089 fault code comes up as faulty circuit but like i say wiring seems fine

thats the only fault code and the correct scv was fitted

i am at a loss where to turn to next

any help would be greatly appreciated
