05 zafira 2.0 dti

Hi guys iv just got a 05 plate zafira 2.0 dti of my mate it was running fine took it for a service at a local garage got a phone call saying car won't start he went and collected the car and it's been stood the car will run with a bump but will not start on the key there is no warning lights coming on either been told it could be injector pump but surely it would not start with a bump if so
Any help would be much appreciated
